# Choose your assistant

These are manual, product-neutral setup instructions. Button names and automatic instruction-file discovery differ across products and versions.

## Codex
Open the extracted kit folder as your project in your existing Codex installation. Ask it to read PROJECT-GUIDE.md and START-HERE.md before working. Review its proposed commands and changes using your normal permission settings. This kit does not change your global Codex configuration.

## Claude
Open the extracted folder in your existing Claude coding environment, or attach the relevant text files if using a chat interface. Ask it to read PROJECT-GUIDE.md and START-HERE.md. A chat interface without terminal access can explain the code; you must run commands yourself.

## Another assistant or model
Supply PROJECT-GUIDE.md, START-HERE.md, and the relevant code files as context. Confirm whether it can access files or execute commands. If it cannot, use it for explanations and make changes locally yourself. Never assume the model can see your folder just because you mention its name.

## No assistant required
Follow DOWNLOAD-AND-SETUP.md and run the Python example yourself. The offline exercises do not require an API key, model subscription, or agent framework.

## Optional tools
Hermes and CT Design Ops skills are optional learning resources linked from the website. Install only what your current exercise requires. They are not bundled in this archive and do not need to be installed to run its example.
